BJACH earns 2nd NCQA Level-3 Certification

BJACH’s Primary Care Team worked for the last three years combining Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Family Practice into one Group Practice earning BJACH a 2nd NCQA Level-3 Certification.

After three years of hard work combining Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice into one Group Practice, Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital was notified Jan. 11, 2017 that it has been recognized a second time by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Level 3 Army Patient Centered Medical Home. Level 3 recognition is the highest level of NCQA certification.

The patient’s medical team, which includes the patient, physicians, nurses and behavior health specialists, has ensured patient centered care and positive patient outcomes continues to remain their top priority.

This certification validates the hospital’s efforts to provide safe, evidenced based care in a patient centered model to promote wellness and readiness has been successful. It also helps build a sense of trust within our community as we continue to live up to our motto of “We Provide the Best!”. This certification also demonstrates a continuous state of readiness; as The Joint Commission will also be integrating PCMH certification into the accreditation process.

“The hands-on care blended with personal touches have made all the difference in patient-experience,” said Lashawn Bryant, a BJACH employee, who has been at the clinic for nearly two and a half years.

“This is a family-type environment where we get to know our patients and treat people how we want to be treated,” Cynthia Boone said. Boone, an employee during the pre-Medical Home days has witnessed the transformation of Army medicine. “It is all about the patient, and it continues to show each day I come to work.”
